On November 8, a maneuver took place in the waters of Turbo, Antioquia, marking a new era for navigation and maritime progress in the region: the anchoring of the vessel CMA CGM FORT BOURBON, commanded by Captain Matthieu Phillipe Hubert.
During the operation, pilots Germán Cortés Ortega —who led the maneuver—, Luis Guillermo Vanegas Silva, Javier Moreno Cortés, and Jaime GarcÃa Pulido made history by successfully directing the anchoring of the first mother vessel in this area of the country.
This significant event paves the way for the arrival of many more deep-draft vessels, consolidating Turbo as a strategic point for the maritime and port development of Antioquia and Colombia.
Beyond the maneuver itself, this achievement stands as a tribute to the dedication, knowledge, and courage of those who face the sea with professionalism and passion. It is a recognition of these men of the sea, whose silent yet crucial work drives the progress of our nation.
An image that will remain for posterity — a symbol of progress and the maritime history of our region. 🌊
